WHAT IS THE IRON PIG FESTIVAL?
Four different events - Duathlon, 5K Run, Fun Run/Walk and 17-Mile Bike Time Trial held at Drake Field Executive Airport, which is located just south of Fayetteville. The Iron Pig Duathlon is the only duathlon in the World that has a leg of the race on an airport runway. Yes...the first 3 mile run is contested on the airport runway. Come "Run The Runway"!

WHAT ARE COURSES LIKE?
Duathlon - 3 mile run, 18 mile bike and a 3 mile run. The 5K Run, 1 Mile Fun Run and the first leg of the duathlon run are held on the Drake Field Airport runway. Bike course is a relatively flat out and back course on scenic Hwy 71 and the final run of the duathlon is just as flat as the first run leg and held just north of the airport. The finish line for the duathlon, 5K and fun run are located in front of the airport terminal.
